Dude for 3 grand you can have a killer set up with money to spare. You can split that money over a new alt, good wiring, a nice HU, a big beefy amp, 15s and a custom box. Then plenty of gas money to cruise around banging that system.
Two dd 9515s a 5000+ watt amp form a good brand say rd audio a good custom box and the alternator and battery needed to run that will do you nicely for 3k. And blast your other locals right out of town.
