Posted on My hifonics amp protect light came on. I did a process of elimination and it is not my sub. My local audio shop told me it was an internal fault. I am buyign the same amp soon because it matches my alpine type R the way i like it. I dont want to run into this problem again so im just wondering why this was caused and what i can do to prevent it, or even, look into another amp? Let me know what you guys think |

Posted on when your amp turns on does it go straight into protect? or does it take the music playing to kick it into protect? |

Posted on thats what hifonics amps are known for, breaking for no reason. do yourself a favor and by something more reliable. how much are you looking to spend on an amp? what coils does your sub have? |

Posted on Im pretty sure mine did the same, it lasted a while though so I chalked it up as a win for the 100 a spent on it. |
