It looks like the v2's are the ones to watch out for. Ive had a regular image dynamic v2 12 idq with absolutely no issues.

GO FOR IT !

20hz fs

very few subs can do better than that

sealed amazes those who hear it in my wagon & they dont believe its sealed

i tested mine ported around 27-28hz 4" aeroport tuning : it will def over power ur front stage with some KILLER difficult to breathe clean lows ....

as u know when it came to making a choice 4 my new set was either 1 12 idmax or 2 13w3 both were to be ran sealed but i got a nice deal on the max

2 13w3 would be just a little more $ than a max but thats if ur willing to use 2 subs & more trunk space ....

I think that when I decide to upgade I will definitely go with 2 12" IDMAX's. They seem to be amazing subs.

Sean, the idmax v2 (only in 12's)has higher power handling and a higher fs value than the v3. Its a great sql sub.

My ported idmax12 on 250 rms was louder than 2 12 w3 v2's on 750rms. In both applications, the tuned frequency was 32 hz. For sql, the idmax would get the job done effortlessly.

I think ct mike on this forum ran a setup with id max subs also.

If you're entirely into sq, i would recommend the idq v3. The Boston Acoustics G5, Jl w6v2, Fi q, Alumapro Alchemy MX and brahma come very close in performance.
