well im lazy and dont wanna wait til tomorrow to call steve so i wanna get this box started today. i just picked up some 3/4" mdf and all the other good stuff and a friend is on his way with a bunch of other tools. anyways on for the box info

its going in an 01 tahoe and its one of the new 18" RD Alphas. going to be a daily driver but i like it to pound. i listen to a lot of everything, rap, country, rock, so no real specific tuning. my previous sub was a 15" L5 so im not too worried about SQ. I talked to steve earlier and he said these do well in 5.5 cubic feet with 60 square inches of port. im thinkin about tuning it to 35Hz and basically all i really need to know is how long should i make the port length to achieve that. the rest should be pretty easy. i plan on doing a double layer of MDF on the front panel where the sub is and line the entire inside of the box with resin.

anyways thanks for any help!

Box looks decent. Need to cover it... Did you resin the inside as planned?
Nice setup. good luck with it.

Pics and Vids when finished would be appreciated as well.
