hi, im building a subwoofer box for a 12" type R sub for the van of my van. The box will be sitting on the right hand side of the van facing the left side.

My question is what type of box should I make Sealed or Ported? and what size should the box be? I dont have an issue as such with space as its a back of a van, i just dont want to get these dimensions wrong and thought id find help from those who know. Alpine is saying a sealed box of 0.57-0.1 cuft but thats very small what are your thoughts and suggestions?

thanks.

u may lose some low end with a type-r tuned to 37-40hz..

they sound pretty good and still get loud tuned to 32-35hz. i hooked a friend up with a zx750.1 on a type-r 12" in 2.5cubes @ 35hz... it was LOUD for a single 12, and still sounded pretty good
