When using them always pack the box like it will be dropped from a 6' height. My laptop came and was left on my front step. No signature, just left under my door mat from UPS. Then I had $20 worth of knives shipped via USPS that I had to go get at the PO because I wasn't home to sign for them. UPS blows. They know it. We know it. Yet we still use them. Shame on us......

Paul, if the package is not coded in the label to get a signature, or there isn't a green signature required sticker on it, then you didn't pay for that service and they will leave it there. Even if you simply write "signiture required" on the box then they might not leave it sitting, but remember they don't have to.
