my friend is gettin 2 type r 15's and he asked what amp would be good so im wondering if this amp would sound good with these subs or just blow them.

here's the link for the amp http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps2200D.htm

the subs are 750rms/2000peak(each sub)

the subs would be dual 4ohms and would be wired down to 1ohms.

if u would recommend any other amps to run these on please tell me thanks!

Youll be fine as long as you dont clip the hell out the amp.

Clipping damages subs/amps not running more then the RMS rating unless you have a super BS sub.

Get it you wont be dissapointed.

12" Rs can usually take 100-150wrms more than rated comfortably so i guess the 15s can handle more too

i guess u cud use that amp & it wud have some headroom on it so just watch ur vol level...

headroom is always good... and u dont have to use alll the power from an amp.

but like Rovin said, watch your volume level.

I think it would be fine...never used type-r's though. The AQ amps have a clip light on the remote so it should be no prob.
