a subwoofer that appears to have no motor. i don't have the time/patience to take apart my rear deck but i think i might have an idea of how it works

Is that a Cadillac? My dad's STS has something similar looking. I just thought it was a passive radiator subwoofer, but I didnt really check it out.

yeah its a Cadillac cts. its definitely not a passive radiator, but im assuming since the tinsels go upwards the motor must be on top... which to me seems asinine because there is plenty of room to mount a normal sub below the deck

you should take it apart and look daniel. i dont even know how the speaker would look if the motor was on top. thats so wierd

The main reason I thought that it was a radiator is because my dad never plays music loudly so you hardly notice it. That thing looks like it can get moving though.
