New member Username: Floridaboi407Altamonte Springs, Florida United States Post Number: 1 Registered: Jul-09 | Getting a 2000 Chevy Malibu soon and want to put in two 12's..im going for very loud bass and i cant decide between Alpine Type X 12's or the Type R's..I know Type R's are Spl subs and are made to be loud vs the type X's that are sq and are cleaner...if im going volume and power would it be better to go with the type R's? ive heard the type X's are louder, but i always thought spl was louder than sq...and what amp would i get if i used the type X's? my budget isnt the highest for the amp.. |

You would need electrical upgrades to properly power the X's. Throw 1000-1200 clean watts on a pair of R's in a custom box and wang away.. look into a couple of AQsdc2.5's as a possible budget alternative. www.Audioque.com |
