I see most people on here talking about wiring their subs to low ohm loads. Below 1 ohm is what i mean. How do you do that? I have a DVC 4 ohm 18 Solo X and dont understand how to wire it down to such a low ohm load???

The number of subs and voice coil option on them changes what they can be wired to. your sub can only be wired(alone) to 2 or 8 ohms. By either adding or replacing it with a sub with a different voice coil you change your wiring options.

Good explination.

And most amps are designed for 1 or 2 ohms. Running below 1 ohm is only really needed if you're in serious competitions. In most cases doing that daily will net you a fried amp.

just to add what they were saying ^^^

for example, you could wire 2 2 ohm subs to a .5 ohm load.
