Might have the chance to pic up an APX motor cheap locally. Anyone know how these would sound if built into a daily driver? Or are these just pure spl motors? It would probably be built into something in the range of 1200w-2000w daily sub. I have been thinking about competing a little this summer, so I might just pick it up now and save it until summer.
Also what do you guys think an APX motor would be worth picked up locally? Would $100-125 be too much?
With the kind of output that driver is capable of it will most likely sound like crap when you turn it up. Even enough DB from SQ subs will make your overall system sound crappy if you have vibrations and rattles throughout the vehicle. If you eliminate all of that sh1t then you can take full advantage of the SQ that your sub stage is capable of.
I picked it up a little while ago. She looks rough, but I like it that way. I'll get pics of her up later.
I'm probably going to do an 18" hybrid, I'll build it myself. Need to figure out what I'm going to power it with. Might just grab another AQ and strap them @ 1 ohm...who knows.
