Earthquake is geared more towards SPL, and does VERY well at it. Soundstream makes good products, their amps are on par with Alpine, if not a tad better in my opinion, don't have as much experience with their components, so won't give an opinion. My opinion on Alpine is that their head units are top-notch, but, to me, their speakers and subs lack what others have. Their amps are pretty good, but there are also better ones out there. Haven't heard a full F#1status system, so couldn't tell you about that, but the Type R and X series could be much improved. F1 status systems are a tad too expensive for most people's tastes, they need something a little better to fit in between Top level and the mid level.
