Im going to buy a sub in a couple of weeks. I was looking at a budget of 250-300. I am right now considering buying a power acoustik mofo sub maybe one 15" or 12". I was wondering guys is this sub good and are there any other that hit as hard? Just throw some names out there because im not knowledgible in this area. Also what kind of amp you guys recommend cheaper the better but at least descent up 400

Is that for the sub only, or sub and amp?

Do you mean you have $300 to spend on a sub and $400 on an amp?

dont do that - it is probably the most expensive place to buy car audio gear on the internet

do you have anything in your vehicle yet? HU, wiring, etc

What kind of sound do you want?

SPL - loud
SQ - sound quality
SQL - mixture of both

What is your total budget?

ROFL. Please don't do any of this.

We need to know your complete budget, everything you need, and the type of music you listen to.

please don't listen to Mike. He obviousaly know nothing about car audio(as far as GReat subs compared to well known brands AND where to purchase online). GReat subs-
RD audio
Fi Audio,
DD audio (digital Designs)
Treo
Cascade Audio- (no esxperience-strickly word of mouth)
Audioque
Audiopulse
AB
IA
Mach5
many many more

stay away from JL audio- many better for the price
kicker subs
Rockford Fosgate

their are too many lessa expensive better quality subs out there which company owners spend money on R&D instead of Marketing- Learn from our mistakes
Obviously Mike hasn't learned yet

look at post count and you can see that he need to hang out on here and learn something. Trust me.
