Jl audio 1000/1 for 3 kicker cvr's

ok i have 3 cvr's and was runnin off a zx700.5 but it only put about 900 rms at it's best and that is not even pushing them to potential. and i just found a jl 1000/1 locally for $300 will i have any problems ? maby over powering ?

As long as you're careful with the gain and volume controls you'll be fine. Nobody forces you to turn it up to full blast.

i used to power 2 cvrs with a 1000/1 and it was fine. like the $20 guy said, just becareful.

yeah use a dmm when setting the gain. and no bass boost.

THAT WOULD BE A GREAT PRICE FOR A GOOD AMP THOUGH.

it should have no problem pushing 3 of them. my brother used to have one pushing 2 15" L5s. it was wierd cuz ppl at the car audio shop were bedazzled at how loud it was being 1000w short..

12 inch subs! and i read somethin about needing to disconect the ground when you are installing/uninstalling is that true ? or can i just plug and play? it's all stinger 4 gauge wiring

you don't HAVE to. but i would reccommend it if you're a newbie.

you disconnect the battery's (-) post.



did you ever get that JL1000?

yea i have it just gotta finish payin it off before i install... so diconnect directly from the battery and hook everything up and then simply re connect and turn the car on ?

yeah, just disconnect the negative, make sure when its hanging loose, it doesnt get near the positive post.

ALWAYS diconnect battery ground before working on anything electrical. Not doing so is how people blow up equipment.

yo chad, how were the 2cvrs on the 1000/1 when you had them? hit pretty good?

ive got 2 and im trying to order a 1200rms amp this week as soon as the paycheck comes through.

on youtube there was a guy running 3 cvr's off a 1000/1 and said he blew the subs or one of them any way! should that be a concern or just someone running there system to hard?

ok so just hooked the 700.5 back up while i'm finish payin off the 1000/1 and it starts cuttin off at like volume 15 when i have the bass turned to about 10 of 15 on an alpine deck when it used to play fine at around 22-25 and the bass knob is only on half too! any suggestions as to what may be happening or what i could try to fix this
