the vented would be +3 dB louder with increased surface area of cone exposed - it will be louder but not by a very large amount

Oh ya, I was also wondering if anybody out their has made truck boxes for these subs and put them in a 97' Dodge Dakota. I was planning on building boxes for them to go under the seats, would this work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
