Sound deadening lessons...

i know someone out there has some build logs or step-by-step how to's on sound deadening the doors.


help an E-brotha out

ok here's what you do.

1. peel the backing on the deadener.

2. stick it on the desired place.

or more detailed way.

1. prep the surface that needs to be deaden by cleaning it with some alcohol.

2. before you peel off the backing on the deadener, put it up to the door to see what size piece you will need.

3. then cut the deadener and stick it on the door.

4. using a roller, go over the deadener many times and get rid of all bubbles. (if you don't have a roller then a fat screwdriver head will work just fine.)

5. when applying second piece, make sure you over lap each piece good.

very key.. denature alcohol everything and use a ROLLER

hey not to steal this but what is Peel n sell called i when to lows lookin for some and look at me and what is that and i told them and they said they dont have that or get a part number to look it up ?

They did the same thing here, quention. You got to look for it yourself. It is located on the roofing department.

@Nick V., sweet i looked at lowes and i too asked about peel n seal and got the same answer everyone else did. now i know to just go get it myself.

another ?
how much will i need to cover 2 front doors with a few layers?
