Some of you guy's might remember me, well I'm back!

I am redesigning my current set-up (12" RE Audio MT in 2.5 cu ft @ 32Hz @ 2500RMS) and I came to the decision that I need to increase the volume and raise the tune to gain a little more SPL, while still being street applicable (a.k.a. not all competition) so time for a new box build.

I have two options:
6.2 cu. ft. @ 38Hz
5.5 cu ft @ 38Hz
I can always go under 5.5 cu ft.

The reason for the varied volume is because I can slope the front for added volume, where as the second box is cubic. Here are my questions:

For 2500RMS, what is the ideal box size for a 12" MT? I do think that +5.5cuft is a little extreme...

What's generally better for SPL, sloped or Cubic, keeping all other things constant (wattage, size, tuning)
?.

slanted boxes lose ohms. You need to buy a cubic box from roger @ bestbuy, he knows his stuff about letting ohms bounce in the box.

True story at Best Buy:

Me: "Hi, I was wondering if you guys had any 1/0 gauge wire, and what price per foot."
BB Employee: "What amp are you powering?"
Me: "Orion 2500D"
BB Employee: "What kinda wattage does that thing put out?"
Me: "At 1 ohm, about 2500RMS."
BB Employee: "How many subwoofers are you running with that thing?"
Me: "Just one, a RE Audio MT."
BB Employee: "Whats the wattage on that?"
Me: "Depends on the application, but I'm planning on running 2500W."
BB Employee: "It that 2500 max wattage?"
Me: "No. The sub can handle quite a bit more in competitions, It's just a hobby for me."
BB Employee: "That sounds like max wattage to me, since this Rockford Fosgate Power 12" sub here can only take about 2000 Max, and it's one of the most powerful subs on the market."
Me (noticing that this conversation is only making me dumber): "So you got any 1/0 or not."
