ok what you see here is my fairly recent build with the following equipment.

pioneer p6000ub, rockford fosgate 360.2, sundown audio 100.4, 2x sundown audio 1500.1, 2x sundown audio nightshades, 3 huge gell cell batteries, custom fuse holder,and upgreded volvo 160 amp alt.. oh yeah all this is in a 2001 volvo s60 T5... hehe..

oh yeah this is a street 2 MECA comp setup doing 148 at 32hz at the headrest :-)

Might be a dumb question... but whats up with all the fuses by the 2 1500D's?

to be in the class i want which is Street 2.. i must run no more than 90 amps of fusing with 2 12s ... well the two amps together can easily pull over 400 amps of current however if you spread that current over 18 fuses like i did the heat isnt quite as bad and the fuses will hold..

I don't like rules like those. I think there should be a max of 1 fuse per amp per 1000 watts or something along those lines.

Ya volvos are known for there flex. Should spend some time in putting something beind the license plate lOl. Also do you have a TL score on video, curious.Polo..

I am not doubting the 148, not hard to do but I wanna see the TL display to see the peak frequency. The reason why is because I wanna see how much it changed due to your setup not being totally sealed. If your cabin was absolutely sealed your trunk wouldn't rattle like that, just a tad from box flex and your output would be higher. Polo.

Dude reread the post STFU 592 poster boy and try reading a whole post. I wanted to see what his peak in car frequency was in relation to the box tuning because it could be altered by lack of trunk sealing. Next time read a little more instead of jumping the gun... Polo..

yeah... umm the car has a resonant of 34hz.. thats what i tuned the box to.. so yeah tahts why it peaks at 34 hz.. because thats the note the car likes and the tuning of the box.. an yeah... in street class there arent many people dont a 148 in a trunk car in MECA...

Just because your cars supposed resonance is at 34 hz, tuning the box at that frequencie does not guarrantee the enclosure will actually peak there. I have seen frequencies be altered by pure cabin gain, lack of trunk sealing, etc... On the termlab there is a meter that shows the peak frequency and surrounding frequency rolloff, that is all I was looking for, nevermind seems to complicated for some, sorry... Polo.

wow you think your soo much smarter than everyone.. well how come my team hold state records in street 2 and drive by 2 in meca right now.. and the drive by record is a world record for that class... yes i know that enclosures dont always peak at tuning but expecience has told us that aero ports do peak really close to tuning.. and if it wasnt peaking at the cars resonance i would have 2 peaks.. anything other than 34hz drops 2.4db

ok if its soo over my head then how come i just answered your question and you have your head too far up your butt to see that not everyone in the world is ignorant to the science enclosures... we have a meter and we have experiemented and learned a lot over they past 2 or 3 years.. it has a 2.4db rolloff average over 5 hz... in either direction...

trial and error with a meter, does not equate to doing the proper math to find a frequency pitch or resonance of a car. just because u hold a record dosen't mean you know everything , i have a 91 oldsmoblie 88 royale, lets hear my resonace frequency? ... u can't , what told u the frequency was that? and don't google a equasion i want it in average joe terms. lastly ur video has been spead up on you tube. the flex kind of appears more turbulant then it really is.

wow you are just as ignorant as him... a sealed enclosure sweep with the subs and box you are gonna use will give you the resonant of the car...and as far as my youtube video.. i have done nothing to it.. how do you explain a sunroof flexing to the point of shattering if there isnt crazy ammount of flex... actually if anything the video doesnt do it justice because it is moving faster than the camera's refresh rate.. in case you havent noticed there isnt really a true math to any one setup... evey setup wether at the headrest, kick, or dash has a completely different set of rules and different ways to get loud... just because i have 100 posts on here doesnt mean im stupid it means i have a life.. lol..

I have yet to know a single person who competed that didn't get at least a picture of the TL screen or a video, it is a must. I don't compete because I also have a life, and a company sooo get off that. You totally blew everything out of proportion when all I asked was for a picture of the TL screen during the run. All I wanted to see was the frequency responce the TL picked up during your burp, little do you know it can show a lot of info but no you would rather insult me with your childish antics instead of just saying that you are a f@g and forgot to get a pic taken of the screen during your best run (how is that possible). You need to learn how to relax, take time to read, life is to short. Polo.

i'm not ignorant i was proving a point, finding the resonance of your car then using aero porrts to boost that is not always going to boost ur db in the end. it's a hit or miss and that was my point that all cars are diffrent. just because ur car spiked at a certain frequency guring a sweep dosent mean a box ouputing that frequency will help at all without proper math. also the videos audio speeds up if the refresh rate is off the audio shouldnt be. i'm just saying thats what it looks like i didn't say anything about the sunroof. lastly , have a life? u can rack up a 1000 posts in a year in no time i visit when i get bored and thats like 3 times a month or less.
