im ready to upgrade i currently have two kicker 12 inch cvrs in the prefab box and a zx1000.1 running them i was thinking about getting a 18 inch q or bl or two 15's for some reason i haven't been able to see the specs or the price on the bl on my computer so i dont about it. my buget is about $400-$500 dollars and it will be going into a 96 grand marquis ive got 40x30x18" in the trunk and a big opening id just like to be louder and i quess sound good so any help would be greatly apprieciated. ps i accidently posted this in the speaker section to
if i was u i would get a BL. get all the extras u can other than the extream lead. i think. u will have to look up all the extras i forgot what all u can even get. dual 2ohm v coil keep ur amp and get the 18!
if u ever r going to compete get the BL if no get the Q they will both hit the lows GrEaT~! and sound louder. one 18 has more cone area than a pair of 12s.
but a pair of 15s could be great too. wat kind of 15s were u looking at? the AQsd2.5 15s would be nice for 1000 rms. if ur going for comps get a pair of 15 AQs
if u want something that sounds great get an 18 Q and tune that baby low!
18 BL love them still sound great if u make a good box.
u need 8cuft for the 18s and like 10 for the 15s. not sure on the 15s though
either way they will be louder than ur 12s and should sound better. the cvrs i have listened to were pretty loud but didn't have the sql. ur up grading any way u look at it
wel i got 7.25...ft3 after displacement for a q tuned to 28 with 101.5 pa cant find any specs on the fi website on my computer so i dont know about the bl any othe suggestions
well i dont have the power or the money to get two of anything so im leaning tward the Q and for some reason my computer wont show the specs on the bl so i dont know how big of a box i need for it plus my zx1000.1 dosent have the power to run a bl with options does it? so i think im getting the Q
