hey guys havent posted in awhile...i really need some opinions...i just got an AQ 2200D to match my hdc315 instead of my nine.1 and gotta get a H/O alternator and also want a pair of components....i dont want to waste money on a junk alternator thats going to take a sh** on me 2 weeks later but also dont wanna spent $500...i called Excessive Amperage and talked to a guy and he said he could build me one for my grand prix thats 200a for about $300 shipped, and ive heard they stand behind there stuff so i think thats what im goin to do, just wanted any second opinions...MAINLY this is my question...im goin to buy a 4 channel, prolly a kicker, alpine, or phoenix gold that puts out at least 50, more like 75-100rms x 4 and need one set of components for my doors to match..i have a grand prix with 5.25's in the doors...i wanna stay under $200....i was thinking Digital Design components, which are the 5.25's and a seperate tweeters for each for $155 shipped...what do ya'll think??? OPINIONS PLEASE?? also is knukoncepts 0 guage good? the copper stuff not aluminum...if not whats the best 0 guage for $3/foot or less?? Thanks....

For a wiring kit you can't beat the kicker 1/0 kit off ebay..

i've heard some DD comps.. sounded fake.. like a force reproduction of sound

talk to exige about some CDT comps...
I've only heard the mid-grade CDT's, and they sounded sweet.

i also do not need a whole wiring kit, just 0 guage...at around $3/foot if i could get it for that, 25ft would be $75 or so..

Many people have had problems with EA alts more than most other companies....

Don't buy CDT from woofersetc it's a major ripoff, exgie has MUCH better prices.

Abarca,
I blew the mids when doing a stupid expirement

Alt wise, yea alot of guys have been having more and more issues with the alts. Your stock will probably put out more amps at idle than EA's, and they are over rated too. Spend a little more and grab a good alt.

It's the Alpine MRP-F550, when I got mine it was $220 at onlinecarstereo but they don't sell it anymore, they replaced it with the MRP-F600 which is even better:

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19060

But you can still get the 550 for ~$220 on ebay
