hey guys, just got my new AQ-1200 in the mail today. Thing looks great. Only problem is that the terminals are not large enough for 0 gauge wire even though in the manual, it says to use 0 gauge. Anyone know anything about this?

4 awg is all you need for an efficient 1200w amp. But of course it never hurts to have bigger wire.

Nice man. Get some pics on here. If your wire is too big then just trim it down some until it will fit.

I was thinking about trimming down the wire, but I was wondering if I could get something like this (click link below) to put my 0 gauge in, and then have the smaller wire come out the other side. This way, i'll have more of an option to where I can put this amp in my trunk. This wouldn't hurt anything would it?

Pics will be up shortly along with new box.

Of course it wouldn't be this one, this is just an example.

lookin good bro. that amp is nice. i was thinking about gettin one for myself, but that would require me to send in my HDC315 to have it changed to D2 so i can run at 1 ohm.

Theres no point in doing that, when you can get a Kicker ZX1000.1, just as good an amp for around the same price.

"What are you going to do with that ASA1500.1D?"

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I no longer have the original box, so I can't store it anywhere. Right now it's just chillin in my room on top of a table. I was thinkin about having it fixed, but that would prob be as much as the amp, which is why I got the AQ1200. Unless someone feels like buying it, it will prob just sit here for the end of it's lifetime.

"Joe S

What? Do you mean, how much would I sell it for? If so, how about you give me a price :-)

Problem: FET's (according to MS)

I have pics of the ASA in another forum, let me find it, h/o.
