Well my cousin has three oldschool 12" w6 subs that are about 7yrs old and they sound damn nice. I've been wanting to get a new setup that can give him a run for his money. I want to stay with just two subs though... could two new 10" JL w6v2s in a ported box give him a run for his money?

Sealed. And I wana say my budget will be around 400 or so. I know two w6v2s probably cant be bought new with that, but ive seen some slightly used on craiglist for less than that. Do you have any other suggestions?

the SQ of w6v2s really is extremely hard to compare to or even beat for that matter...

i'd say if you like his w6's, you'll love the w6v2s you're lookin at.

Yeah. Not included in that $400 though. Right now I am borrowing a rockford fosgate 1000bd, but I will eventually need my own.

Ummm... yeah I belive so. Just pretty much I want my subs to be just all round more pleasing to listen to than his. Sooo maybe hitting harder, sounding better.

well i would go with a 15 inch stereo integrity magnum. you can find them used for a good price. I know you want a couple 10s, but this will sound incredible, have much better lows and get gett damn loud. i would either do that or go with 2 12 inch Fi. SSDs...

Well forums yes.. but just talking about around in general. I've never heard them in person, and dont know where I could. Maybe that would sway my thoughts... just dont want to get something and end up not liking it, and not being able to resell for a decent price.
