Post Number: 2033 Registered: Dec-06 | a little off topic but it amazes me how much hifonics over rates their amps. their BX22000D is rated at 2200rms at 10ohm and the VFL150.1 is rated at 1562 rms at 1ohm and they have the same exact interal board. |

Silver Member Username: MendonmafiaUSA Post Number: 598 Registered: Aug-06 | well 1562 is not enough power so im gonna pass on it i think. i need at least 2000 rms but would rather have closer to 3000 since my box is so small. i can get an orion 2500d for 350 shipped but its pretty scratched up so idk. i still dont even know if i am going to get the sx's even i got a deal bnib 480 shipped but i keep feeling like theres somthing out there that will work better im my box and cost idk tho i might just be paranoid |

They also were talking to me about a new VFL120.1 which will produce almost 2400wrms @ 1 ohm @ 14.4 volts. I thought the VFL150.1 put out more then 1500 wrms... is that a 12.5 volt rating? |

That amp is rated 1500w, and those amps are known to be underrated a little. I didn't realize why everyone who ran those VFL amps though so highly of them until I owned one......... good efficiency, doesn't get real hot at 1 ohm, MASSIVE power, and stable at lower impedances for burps.
