Does wiring matter that much?

My sub and amp have arrived, i got everything ready, accept i got no wiring.

I do not have ANY more money to spend. At wallmart there is a wiring kit for like $40. I was wondering if that would be good for now rather than getting better stuff.

Its jus for every day listening, and its my first time having a sub, so would the wiring really matter to someone in my position.

Again i repeat, im like dead broke, lol, thanks for any input

congrats on your sub and amp arriving.

how much power are we talking about here? also what size cable do you need? 0ga, 4ga, 8ga, etc......

as long as the cables are true thickness, it really doesn't matter what kinda cable they are. of course better companies make better quality cables but you can still use cheaper cables.

4ga will be more than enough for that amp. go to a local stereo shop. i am sure they will have an amp kit for you.

Very good wire for the price and most likely cheaper than a shop.

Any good quality wire is fine. DO NOT get a cheap wiring kit, one from walmart, etc. They lie about the gauge of the wire by putting a thick rubber jacket around it with not enough copper.

Invest your money in nice RCA cables...the 4ga ground and power is not much, dont go to wallmart. Is there like a flea market in your area or a audio shop? They will prolly cut you a deal. Tell them your situation. Dont run the RCA with the power wire, as it may cause interference. It can sound like a little supercharger in your speakers haha. l8.
