I have the Kicker dual 12 inch l5 kickers in the kicker enclosure and i was just wondering if a zx1500.1 amp would be sufficient power for these subs and if not any ideas?
what ohm are the voive coils dvc 2 or 4? and two subs?
If they are dvc 2's, then wired up to a 2 ohm load, that amp will be ok. Just set gain right. If dvc4's, then wire to a 1 ohm load and look at an amp that does 1300-1500 at 1 ohm.
It should say on the terminal cup what the final impendance (ohm) is on the kicker boxes.
So pretty much the zx1500.1 (2 ohm) or the kx1200.1 (1 ohm). There are other brands too, but if you want to keep brands the same and want a solid amp, then just go with these. A zx1000.1 might also work too.
