Unless your stock head unit had an amplifier hooked to it the head unit would not have a remote wire. What you can do is run a wire from your fuse panels empty accessory on slot and it will turn your amp on when your car turns on.You can also put a switch on that wire to turn the amp on and off as you please. You can also do it another way,run a wire from your amps power input to your passenger compartment and put a switch that is easily accessible from your driver's seat and then send the line back into the remote input of your amp.Done!

The 12V switching wire for the radio is grey on toyota's. (on the stock radio harness)

T-tap into that and you will be good.

Nick are you trying to wire up an amp to a stock head unit or do you have an aftermarket head unit?
