Those subs like about 38-40 hz for daily, for comp it all depends on your vehicle. DD 95 series are geared for for SPL than low end, so even when tuned low, they don't have a lot of output in like the low 30s and down, they just seem to loose SPL.

How much power do you have, and do you want more SQ or SPL?

The MAG is an SQ based sub, the 95 is an SQL sub that leans toward SPL. The 95 needs at least 2kw to make it worth it, closer to 3kw is ideal. The MAG takes about 1kw.

1500 watts is not enough for a 9500. At that power you would be better off with the MAG, or a 3500 if you want to go DD.

3515 = louder than MAG

MAG = better SQ and low end than DD

hey arent those sundowns underrated & puts out more than 1500wrms ?

& if i remember reading that 1500 on a mag is kinda pushing it - maybe mag owners can tell u more

but how about a RE SX on 1500wrms - should be very good SQL ....

Yes the MAG only takes about 1000 watts if I remember correctly. But there is no such thing as too much amplifier power, you don't have to use it all.

I though I heard of Mags doing mid 140s. Doesn't mean much considering I can't remember box, car, amp, etc., but it should be amazing.

if you want ultimate SQL then go with an RL-S... it's about the same cost, and it will take the power you have better. SQ will be better and it will be as loud.

If you're going to compete you should go with the DD3515s,they'll take 2Krms if you know what you're doing.They'll also be more efficient than the mags.

"But there is no such thing as too much amplifier power, you don't have to use it all."

even tho you dont have to use it all, dont you lose effeciency when you only use a portion of the power it can produce

i wouldnt suggest running 1.5k+ to each mag all the time. also 3k on a 160a alt is going to draw alot more power then it can make.
