ive decided i want an RL-p....final decision basically unless something huge comes into mind within the next 2 weeks or so....couple questions for you guys....
A) 12" sealed, 12" ported, 15" sealed, 15" ported? which would you do for this sub and why? if i do port it, im gonna tune it pretty low, about 28hz or so.
B)Amp suggestions.....need them
this is a quick list i threw together....sub recommends 500-1k for daily

Rockford Fosgate T5001BD
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5675

JBL BPX500.1
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3121

Kicker 04SX650.1
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=288

Kicker zx750.1
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3788

Mmats D1100.1
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4425

Memphis 16-MCD500 (underrated??)
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2615

Crossfire VR600D
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=177

as you can tell, im looking for anywhere from 600-900rms....

PS, im sure some of you are sitting there thinking to yourself, i thought yanks was gonna do a spl system with 2k or 4k....that plan fell through when i found out that no one makes alts for scion tcs and if they do its about $700 for a 250A alt so i threw those plans out the window....hoping ill get a new car in the summer but thats for a different day and time lol

PPS, the reason for the decision is also based on the fact that SS has superb customer service so far with me.....

i'd go two rl-i 10's on a nine.1 but that's because i like sq! sorry to not help....

15" ported if you're going for a little more spl than the ssd...

but in all seriousness yanks...you can run alot of power on a stock alt if you have really nice efficient amps....what's the output on your alternator??

if it's like 125-150, you could run a zx1500 and a zx350.2 no problem....for the record, thats like 1700 rms of bass alone...

150amps from the sub amp, + about 50 for the car 200 amps on a 125 amp alt you do the math, but he drives a small import, he has small case alt that is proably putting out 80a max.

don't you absolutely need an extra batt for those mmats?

rl-p ftl... i mean it's not fantastic spl and the sq is good, but there are drivers that get louder and sounds better

i think he means that mmats are very power hungry amps... they have ALOT of current draw. i would think you would be okay...

get a nine.1 it is cheaper than some of those amps listed above
900 at 2ohms
or if ya like that sub can handle the nine.1 at 1 ohm

I was under the impression that one needed an extra batt besides the one under the hood to power those mmats amps.

In my experience with ~100 amp alts, 1000 watts is going to be about the max

heres a question, lets say i have $5k in my savings accout....and not much in my checking account....can i transfer over say $500 to my checking account without my parents finding out?

besides showing up on the monthly statement, which they give me instead of opening it up themselves....they dont have to sign off or anything like that right? since im 18 now?

Yanks i just bought a mmats amp not to long ago. No you dont need an extra batt and those amps are not power hungry. I would have to say it draws less current than my old PPI amp. I have a stock alt and i have no problem. Ask Chad i think my sub gets loud. They are really small amps.

Look at your bank statement. If your parents names are on it, only they can withdraw money even though your 18 now. You have to get a new account under your name and get them to transfer the money.
