im ready to upgade a lil on my amp.I got a kx 600.1 on my dual 4ohm vc 15.Im lookin at the zx750 for 195 (refurb)or the mtx 5601for 230new or the 7801 for 260 new.. 5601 is rated at 600x1 at 2 ohms but is supposedly way underrated. .so the birth sheet on the 750 and the 5601 are prolly bout the same.question is,is the 7801 overkill?it has 4x35 fuses and is rated at 800@2ohms but is proly more like 1000.its 1200@1ohm.more like1400 from what i hear.it takes up to 1 or 0ga wire.Im not gonna upgrade electrical(already did big 3)but its only 260 new on ebay.seems like a great buy if it wont kill my alt.Granted my audioque 15 is rated at 500 but im sure the way i listen to it(loud for only short periods of time)itll take 800-1000 with no issues.Anyone with MTX THUNDER AMPS experience let me know if they are all that for the dough.or I'll stick with the kick (zx750)thanks for the help.oh ..Ilove the forum guys, keeps my motivated to spend more money .lol

I strongly caution you not to run 800 to 1000 watts to it daily at 600 rms put to it our audioque 2.5 12 rated 500 rms will run daily but when its burped a few times it does get a little warm

thanks sean..Logan im lookin to spend 200 to 250 total, options ive seen are rockford bd600.1...kicker zx750...hifonics bx1206,does 800-900 @ 2ohms....mtx 5601..rated 600@ 2 ohms.and a few others...any suggestions?how about KEVIN?whats he got aroun 700 to 800 watts for under 250. thanks for the help...I may sell the sub so i can get differnt vc configuration to run 2 subs at 2 ohms. or get an Fi ssd 18.not sure just weighing options now,my kx600.1 is super strong but i got a guy locally that wants it and im ready to change everything up anyways.

sean ,i'm just wantin to move more air at lower hz.thinkin of goin with 4 cheaper 12s,like kicker comps and tuning them in the low 30s.this set up would do 1ohm and only need about 600 to 800 watts.I have had countless set ups but never 4 12s.Just somethin different for me.12 comps are like cheaper than aq's.so i may sell the aq 15 on here pretty reasonable and get the 12s.I know the quality aint there in the kickers but i usually dont keep setups very long anyways.do you think 110 shipped is too much to ask for mint aq 15 dual4ohm..had it since feb 07.still very tight.again, just weighin my options.or i coulod get another 15 and an amp thatl do 1 ohm.

1200 at 1 ohm rated at 12.5v
it might be pushing it on slock electrical
you might be able to find a used one for 250
or look for a used orion 1200d

M.S. when you say mtx amps have bad quality, do you mean like durability? or just they suck all period? JW.
