whats a good amp for these subs my friend got from custom sounds a while ago and underpowering them with some tiny MTX amp. he used to have w2v1 or 2's can't remember but they stopped working and he had a warranty and they just replaced them with the v3's. oh well he still needs a better amp for them so any recomendations?

well it depends wether you have a single 2 ohm version or a 4 ohm version but id put a 400 rms amp on it that way youll be able to set it with cleaner power since its a 300 rms sub

just realized you said two subs.....in that case get an amp that has an 800 rms rating at the ohm load needed if you have single two ohms you need 4 ohm or 1 ohm and if you have single 4 ohms you need 2 ohms if you have single 4 ohms go for an mtx 6500d that puts out at least 750 rms at 2 ohms and its a good amp

I got those two subs in a sealed box in my jeep, powered by a kenwood excelon 812D. Its rated at 919 rms @ 2 ohms which is how I have it wired. I wish I would have gotten a more powerful amp in hind sight, but it is still really loud. I am now going to make a ported box to make them louder so I don't have to buy a new amp. But yea I'd say 1000 watts rms amp, and keep the bass boost low.
