are MTX 7500s good speakers and any ideas on an amp reasonable price to power 2 12inch 7500s

I'm almost postive this is one of the best lines from MTX. I've never heard them but each is 4ohm SVC so you would wire both into a 2ohm load so a kicker zx750.1 would be a good choice. i've seen refurbished 750.1s as low as $200 shipped.

i have them wired in 2 ohm to a distinct audio 1000 watt class ab amp not very effecient lacking power

the amp you have is only putting out a claimed 300wrms. here's a link to a refurbed zx750.1

sure...you will notice a big difference in output if you increase the power that much.

should i continue to run 2 ohm with a new amp i heard that 1 omh makes for alot of heat on the amp and blown subs
