Alternatives to terminal cups?

are there any? i cant find any terminal cups.. i hear you can use like screws or bolts right into the box??

r u talking about the thing u hook the wires into on the box? i dont have one of those. i just ran my wires through the port :-)

direct connect, i just drilla small hole run the wires then caulk or liquid nail it, works good for all the boxes i've made.

i know a lot of people on here just drill a hole, put the wire through, then use silicon to seal it up.

use a bolt for each positive and negative with 4 bolts on it, and put ring terminals on the speaker wire. you tighten the nuts on the bolts tight to the box and then slip on the ring terminals, then tighten another nut over that...

....dont know if youll understand that lol^^....

i think ill go with the bolts. and ya that makes sense. do i lose any sound quality or anything? i dont think you would...

well technically everything between the sub and amp adds resistence so yes you will lose some power but where talkin 5watts max so its not gonna make a differnce.

I've used bolts- great for switching resistance on the go, or taking out the box, but straight wires would give you a better connection. Like I said- I've had good luck with bolts.
