K so i bought the Soundstream BX-12 Digital Bass Driver and i installed it the right way, im pretty sure, but whenever i turn the in dash remote past 1/8 it goes distorted no matter how loud it is. So right now i just leave it off but im wondering if i did something wrong with my wiring or what. I want it to help me not kill my system.

do you have an rca converter thing for subs to connect rca's to your amp or do the rca's go strait to the headunit

Id guess that your RCA voltage is to high for the amp settings or somthing or the sub is wired wrong, if its DVC and not on a mono amp make sure its running bridged so each VC gets the same signal, check that VC's are wired correct not backwards polarity or what not. Otherwise you may just have a bad BX12
