Beacuse if i wire my 2 4 ohm DVC's in SVC Paralel id get 2 ohm load. If i wire them in DVC Paralell i get a 1 ohm load, my amp cant handle it if i wire them in DVC Series i get a 4 ohm load, not as powerful im assuming 2 ohm SVC would be more powerful then 4 ohm DVC so id like to wire them as so, just want to make sure i wont damage them. unless wireing them to DVC gives them more bang? |

Bronze Member Username: Animex2Buffalo, New York USA Post Number: 29 Registered: Aug-07 | well it looks like, with a 400 RMS sub, only using 1 voice coil would give you 200 RMS, giving you 2 ohm operation, but only 200 RMS max, so your getting alot less power. my amp at 2 ohms is 760 rms, with 2 subs that would be 380 rms each, but with 1 voice coil, only 200 max. now with 4 ohms on both dvc, im getting 600 rms from the amp, thats 150 on each voice coil, giving me 300 rms total for each sub, therefore using DVC would give me 100 watts of more power |
