A few questions on making enclosures

For mdf try a local wood shop or a Home Depot/Lowes type of place. 3/4" mdf=about $20 terminal cup= $2 carpeting= $6-$20 silicone sealant=$4 contact cement + new paintbrush: $8 Total cost for sub box: about $40+ (if you have some of the things it will be even cheaper) As long as you have a table saw or even a normal circular saw, this should be as easy as building a birdhouse .
