Im going to buy a 12" alpine R either SWR-1242(4 ohms) or SWR-1222 (2 ohms).

I'm wondering which is better for sound and which will blow more. Also which amp I should use for either one.

Im thinking about using the Kenwood 9103D for the 4 ohm, maybe for the 2 ohm as well.

Any thoughts?

the diff impedences will give you diff. wiring options. the dual 4 u can wire to 2 or 8, and the dual 2 u can wire to 1 or 4. if your running 2 subs then a dual 4 can go 1 and 4, and a dual 2 can do 2 or 8.

I that is the amp you are stuck on...

If you are planning to run 1 sub, get the dual 2ohm and wire it to 4ohm.

If you are doing 2 subs, get the dual 4ohm and wire them to 1ohm.

Or you could go w/ a different amp.
