Since my stock Alternator is 70amps,
I already have a CRUNCH amp 300w rms x 2 (600w rms) subs.
2 6x9 80w rms speakers (directly connected to my headunit).

I'm planning to buy a 100w rms x 2 amp to power the 6X9 speakers...

1. Should I still buy this new amp?
2. Leave it just like that (directly to the HU)?
3. Go with a smaller (45 or 50w rms x 2)?

In order to not hurt or force more my alternator.

i'd get the bigger amp, just cuz its bigger doesnt mean you'll run it at full tilt all the time.

i wouldent install that xtra amp man......you can figure out how many amps ur stealing from your alt if u divide the watts on the amp by thevolt on the battery......and after u factor the crunch amp....a/c....headlights....HEAD UNIT......things can add up really fast.....my two suggestions are add up all the things that are sucking alot and see if ur alt has the power to handle somehting else and if is doesnt just get an amp the is tiny for thoes 6x9's......or not power them at all...i had to do the same thing for my car

Do what cam said. And get a bigger alternator if you end up needing it.
