I recently had a JBL bp1200, and 2 of the older model Rockford Fosgate punch HX2's. As it goes, i grew unhappy with the hx2's, and got rid of them. my question is this: Should i sell the jbl amp, and get a bigger amp (2k-2.5k), and 2 higher-end 12's (brahma, reXXX) and slot port them, or should i keep the JBl amp and get 4 middle of the pack 12's in small sealed enclosures? any recommendations on which would give more SPL, or which subs you would recommend? thanks!
it all depends on your trunk space and what kind of bumping you want. if you dont have much trunk space 2 15's might be to much. if you want loud rumbling bass get 15's. for a tighter cleaner bass go with 12's. i would get some w6v2's in either size
