I wanna help a friend out with putting a system together. He has a later 80s model regal and the front speakers are 3.5" or 4" in the dash and I don't know what to suggest for speakers. Any ideas? Either some good 4" speakers or an alternative like a way to put in larger speaks...

Infinity take a look at these

Reference Series REF3022CF 3-1/2" two-way loudspeaker
Reference Series REF4022I 4" (10cm) two-way loudspeaker or these

Kappa Series KAPPA32.7CF 3-1/2" two-way loudspeaker
Kappa Series KAPPA42.7I 4" two-way loudspeaker

I can say 1 thing do not again DO NOT put 100 watts to the reference tweeters . They last about 1.1 seconds, and the voice coils go up in smoke.

Kick panel boxes, or you MIGHT be able to find some type of mounting kit to allow you to change the size of the speakers... but i havnt seen those in a while
