running a 4kw and 3004(75w x 4). I'll have a 240A alt. My question is how many batts should I be looking at running? I'll have a Kinetik 1400 under the hood, so what else do I need in the back? I was thinking just a 2000 would be ok. Thanks for any input as I've never run multiple batts.

does the 4kw consume a ton of current?

either way, with those two batteries or greater along with the alternator you shouldnt have too much voltage drop to make it a concern. depends how you listen though... :-)

FYI more batteries will not help when the engine is running, the alternator is the power source. Batteries store power, they do not produce it.

A bigger battery close to the amplifiers will help when it's played with the engine off. i.e. in some competition classes
