I have 2 Kicker L7s hooked up to a 1600W Mono Block D wired at 2 Ohms which is only 1100W. Since its a mono amp and I have 2 subs connected to it, does it split the power from the 1100W or does it send 1100W to each one?

split 1100/2 so each sub is getting 550rms...

what kind of amp is it??

Hifonics 1600D XX Zeus

1Ohm - 1600W RMS
2Ohm - 1100W RMS

Powering 2 Kicker L7s with 750W RMS (They are competition subs and they can handle way more than the RMS. At least 1500W I assume).

However they are Dual 2Ohm subs and can only be wired at either Half Ohm or 2 Ohm with the Amp, so 2Ohm it was.

So your saying that Im underpowering these right now correct?

I should get an at least 2000W Monoblock Amp and hook it up?

No. You should get 4 ohm DVC subs or change that amp for a kicker ZX1500.1

well I wont change the subs, because they are amazingly loud for what I have powered right now, the amp is all I need changed.

The ZX1500.1 only has 1500W RMS @ 2Ohm, which would be exact RMS for my subs, however I want to power them a little over the RMS since I know that they can handle it.

i wou8ldn't say they can handle too much over their rms, them squares are notorious for blowing, i'd say just run them at their rms, your not even going to notice that big of a difference if you give them 1700 watts over 1500 anyways

Chris the zx1500.1 rms rating is underrated anyways it will really put out around 1700wrms and its the closest your going to find to perfect at 2 ohms anyway.
