I installed my amp and turned on the ignition and blew a fuse in my cars fuse box. I am thinking that I must have attached the remote turn on lead for my amp to the wrong wire. I used the ACC wire is this the right one?

Thats's the correct wire, but it sounds like the remote wire is shorted to ground somewhere. Use a DMM on continuity setting to check a grounding point and the REM wire. They shouldn't be connected.

Find the short

If thats the case and it is shorted, the insulation of the wire is most likely damaged somewhere and the wire is coming in contact with ground.

Of course the amp itself could also be the problem...... have you tried jumping the amps REM terminal to the battery + terminal with a piece of wire and see if it turns on? Disconnect the REM wire from the amp when you do that.
