Hi, I'm pretty new here and i have a small question. I have 2 12" subs both have dual 4 ohm voice coils and i think i have the wired wrong. my amp says its 2 ohm stereo stable. the amp itself is only 2 channels. does this mean that each channel is 2 ohm stable or what?

you need to wire your subs in series so the final load will be 4ohm and bridge the amp. go to the12volt.com for a wiring wizard.

thanks but in order for me to get the correct watts i kinda need them to be 2 ohm because the amp matches the 2 subs perfect if i can get it to 2 ohms. the subs are 2 ohm stable as well. also does 2 ohm stereo mean each channel is 2 ohms or combined channels equals 2 ohms?

it means each channel is 2 ohm stable.

I'd wire the way mat suggested. But if you wire them in parallel per channel, you will be ok
