I JUST GOT A NEW ALTERNATOR. CAN I PUT A CAPACITRO ON THAT OR WOULD THE BIGGER 3 WORK? WOULD THAT BE THE REASON FOR MY BASS OUTPUT LEVEL GOING UP AND DOWN EVERYNOW AND THE ON ITS OWN?
how bad does your voltage drop down to. dropping to 12.5 volts is normal and ok and it will make your lights dim but below that is bad and depending on how low it drops you will need a new alt. or just a new battery.
i dont know what i need to do just yet. I get 14.4 at the battery and alternator but when my speaker hits the power at the amp goed down to 12.5 area. is that ok?
having a HO atl and having a big enough HO alt is two different things....maybe the one you have isnt enough for what you are trying to do....im not trying to argue because i really dont know what u have,im just throwing that out there
you will get dimming and get voltage drop like i already said anything below 12.5v is bad depening on how low it goes depends on what you need to upgrade.
