normally a sub will say like 2.8cuft-4.0crft. I try to build it to the biggest spec they suggest (4.0cuft)

is it bad to give it more or less, and is there anything that you can do to make it louder or more sq, cuz I plan on getting a new 15" MAG and I have quite a bit of space and was just wondering.

Within the specified range, in general a larger box will play very low notes better when tuned to a low frequencey, a smaller box will produce more SPL when tuned higher.

Lets confuse the issue even further.......

Less power than you need? Bigger.

More power than you need? Smaller.
