I have CDT speakers, and I need an amp to power them. I am looking at spending about 200 dollars, but nothing this cheap seems to put out much power, and if it does, it doesnt seem to be a good brand. Any suggestions?

4 channel amp if you're doing front and rear.
PPI, Orion, Directed, Alpine.
all offer 50 watts x 4 channels @ 4 ohm amps for around $200 I believe.
that's all the power you really need. It's a massive improvement over the 12 or 15 watts per channel the head unit can offer.

Are you sure that is all the watts I need. I have been told that I need much more since I bought such expensive speakers.

honestly CDT aren't that expensive. no offense.
they're great speakers for the price, and good for entry to mid level range mostly.
they have some high priced models, but most of those are outclassed by their competition at that price level.
yes, 50-75 watts RMS is plenty of power for most 'full range' speaker.
especially if they're backed up with some subs on another amplifier.

get that and run the rears off the HU, later when you have money, get a small 2 channel

don't start trying to find an amp rated for the peak RMS capabilities of the speakers.
remember power handling ratings on a speaker simply tell you the thermal (heat) capacity of the coils before they melt.
This has nothing at ALL to do with the required power to reach full excursion, or full output with the speaker in question.
Often the suggested power range for a speaker is substantially lower than it's RMS power handling spec.

again, 75 watts per channel is going to be considerable power for 6.5" and smaller speakers.
Especially if this is for music and daily driving, and not solely for SPL event competition
