I have a Eclipse PA5422 4 channel amp and want to put a system toghether in my 2000 honda civic ex 4 door.

I was planning to run a comp set off the front 2 channels and then bridge the rear channels for a subwoofer.

Im going to be using a Eclipse CD5444 or CD8053 HU.

Just need a comp set and sub to compliment the amp and blend in really nice overall. I listen to hiphop and rock mostly but also listen to dance/electronica. I whould like this to sound accurate yet hit hard and punchy. Budget is big enough as long as we can pick everything to get the most of the amp and have a overall efficant setup.

What whould you recommend to finish up the system ?

hmm.
one of Focal's newer lines of 2-way separates perhaps, and a type R or Fi Q 12" sub, ported.
should work out fairly well.
I'd give thought to kick pods for the components

I doubt this 4 channel amp can drive the Type R or Fi Q 12 due to the power on hand.

I can probably find a decent set of comps to go off the 85 x 4 for the front 2 channels

What sub whould you select and how whould you wire it ?

While Glass is away, i'll jump in lol
the amp won't really be enough, especially for the Q. Are you open to getting a dedicated sub amp?

I think i can bridge the rear channels and get 240 watts rms @ 2 ohm.

I already own a JL 500/1 dedicated sub amp but i rather not use it due to my charging system not being up to par for it.

Im trying to build off the Eclipse amp for now and get a efficiant but solid setup going.

I doubt you need to upgrade the charging system just for 1 JL500/1

JL 500/1 + Eclipse PA5422 = to much current for a honda civic charging system to handle.

For both, maybe - just get it all hooked up and watch for voltage drops.

if it was me, I'd bridge the amp and use it to run the front channels, and get a mono amp for a sub

Glass how whould you compare this amp to some of the amps out today ? Is it any good ? I got a good deal on it so i took it.

I plan to use my JL 500/1 and 12w6v2 sealed to specs.

How much power whould i get if i bridged it to a set of comps ?

Need a set of comps to finish out the system and probably a knukonceptz 4 gauge kit.
