He wants to keep his 4gauge wire and not tax his electrical system that hard.......so 1000w is about the limit. The 900.2 will give him 450+ watts rms per sub, so I think it is a good choice for him. |

If you want to save money, you can get audiobahn A16000V for $245 shipped. It's 800W at 4ohm. I would stick with the more powerful, better quality kicker though if your budget's not that pressed. |

It is very unusual especially because that amp is high current, meaning it will pull more current than other amps with the same RMS rating. I would use 1/0 wire. Just trim down the end of the 1/0 that will be going into the amp to the largest diameter that will fit. Strip the wire back at the end as you usually would, then just take a handsaw and cut off excess strands of wire, to get it down to 4gauge size, then try inserting it into the amp. |
