Silicone sealant? Is it really necessary? Time to dry?

o yes you would have about 6 times the seal if you use it and you should give it about 4 hours to dry before you use the speakers it well need an over night to dry completly
yes you need it to seal the box inside. after applying, allow 24 hours to cure before inserting speakers into the box, since silicone vapors will erode the surrounds of your speakers.
