rofl. its a temp. the box doesn't get done til this saturday so i bought a sealed box and put 2 external ports on it. it sounds really good.

its 2 cuft net and tuned to 40hz. this is way below the recommended size so i didn't expect much but damn it hits low and sounds awesome.

Is the new box going to be somewhat of a drop in or will you still have extensive work to do? Simply put, will it be done on Saturday or require the weekend?

I'm pretty sure he said it's going to be done Saturday. It was supposed to be done last weekend but didn't happen. Something about not being able to use a TL?

ben the new box is being built by someone else. i will go to the shop this coming saturday and they will drop it in. then they get the tl meter out and meter it and try to tune it so i get the most out of it. so i will also know what i will be hitting. :-)

then sunday i am off to san diego, california where bunch of guys from caraudio.com will be there metering their system. they are gonna have a little comp.

here you go eric....

the shop is near my house. well not really but its only 30 minute drive. the guy's name is chad geary. i've seen some of his work and they are great. it will cost me $320 for the box but that includes sealing off my trunk from the cabin, dropping the box in, and metering it on the tl. he will also mess with the settings to get the most out of it.

the box will be roughly 8 cuft and tuned to around 40hz with 100 sq in of port.

What made you decide to have a shop build a box for you? Were you unhappy with the performance of the boxes you were building?
